FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • How do I sign my student up for tutoring?
    To sign your student up for tutoring, click this link or email us at limitlesslearningtutoring@gmail.com. Inside of your email, please share with us your child’s name, grade, age, and academic struggles. Submit their assessment scores from school such as iReady, MAP, Accelerated Reader, ACT, Progress, and/or Report Cards. If your child has an IEP, then please submit that as well. Adding to that, please provide at least two days out of the week and times you all are available on those days after 4pm CST.
  • How will I know if my child has been accepted into the tutoring program?
    We will confirm the application submission through sending over an email with a welcome packet. We will send over an Interest Inventory via email to learn more about how your child learns and what your goals are for them as their parent. We will also want to have a running record of concerns from your child's teacher. Once we collect all of the information, you will receive a copy of your contract and be asked to submit a method of payment via credit, debit, or gift card.
  • How much are tutoring services?
    Our tutoring services are based on a Pay As You Go Method at $600/month or $75/hour. You are welcome to pay weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly. We do not take cash payments. All payment must be made on a credit, debit, or gift card to be processed through our certified payment system.
  • What happens if I miss a payment?
    You will be notified on the next business day of the missed payment and will have 3 business days to submit it. After this, your child will be taken off our tutoring list and their time slot will be filled until the payment is made. Please keep in mind that you are still responsible for making the payments as agreed upon in the contract.
  • How many hours per week is tutoring?
    We have tutoring sessions two times per week at one hour for each day scheduled. Parents can request more hours to their child's tutor, should they feel their child needs more assistance and support.
  • Do I get to choose the dates and times my student gets to attend tutoring sessions?
    Yes, we do our best to accommodate your schedule with our tutors. However, we do ask that you are flexible in that we service many students and sometimes the schedule is stricter than we would like.

  • What would an online tutoring session look like for my child?
    All students are given an assessment based on where they should be academically within the first two weeks of tutoring sessions. These are scored and dissected to construct intervention lessons for student growth outcomes. Sessions are usually scheduled like this: Greetings between students, parents, and tutors. Follow up from previous homework assignment. Review homework assignment and give student constructive feedback. Proceed to the next lesson with direct instruction, guided practice, and independent practice. Grant students the opportunity to showcase they have mastered the skills through checks for understanding (CFU). Examine the CFU and provide students with additional support homework. Give student an interactive brain break between 5 to 10 minutes.

  • How are tutors selected to work with my child?
    All tutors go through an extensive interview process and background check to ensure they are a good fit for your students. We make sure they are EXPERTS and TRAINED PROFESSIONALS in the area your child needs the most help in. They do receive training, support, and continuous professional development to ensure your child is making progress after every single session.
  • What software program do you use to work with students online?
    At this time, we are currently using a Zoom chat room for students. All sessions are recorded to ensure students are receiving the best instruction and can be used for students to go back and reference to should they need reteaching at a later time. Tutors are required to keep a professional appearance and demeanor during tutoring sessions. We ask that parents ensure the same is held up on their end as if students are physically in the classroom.
  • How much time would it take for my child to see progress?
    Every student is different. Based on the average of our results, your student should see a turn around within at least 3 months or less. Please keep in mind that this is a partnership. Therefore, parents are required to also integrate homework that is given to students from tutors to see more growth. We recommend parents communicate effectively between tutors and teachers to work together as one.
  • Who can I contact if I am having trouble with my child’s tutor?
    Jasmine L. Thomas is the contact for any issues with tutors. She is welcome to constructive feedback to help all students learn. Please send an email to limitlesslearningtutoring@gmail.com should you have any concerns.
  • Who can I contact if I would like to set up a school meeting for my child?
    Jasmine L. Thomas is the point of contact for school meetings. Please send an email to limitlesslearningtutoring@gmail.com to share when, where, and what time the meeting will be. Let her know the EXACT nature of the meeting. Keep in mind that she may not be physically available to attend, but she will do her best to be present on the phone during the time of the meeting.
  • What resources do you all use to help students?
    We utilize a variety of Common Core Aligned Resources to support student learning. We ask that parents request specific information from teachers as to how we should go about assisting students in standard mastery for success in grade level assessments and standardized testing.
  • Do students receive a break during sessions?
    Yes, it is our goal to give students at least one ten minute brain break to help them digest the content we have covered. This will allow them to relax a bit and be ready to go back at the content stronger than ever.
  • Do you all have a positive behavior reward system in place?
    Yes, we pride ourselves on coming up with a reward system that will best suit your child's needs. This is determined through our Interest Inventory Survey.
  • What if I need to cancel a session?
    All sessions need to be canceled at least 24 hours in advanced, unless there is an emergency at hand. Please email csr.limitlesslearningtutoring@gmail.com to let us know your child will not be in attendance. We will forward this email to your child's tutor and to our owner. They will communicate moving forward as to what make up work will need to be submitted at the next session. Note that more than 2 consecutive absences will lead to your child losing their tutoring spot within our schedule.
  • Is there a referral program for recommending Limitless Learning Tutoring Services to other families who sign up?
    Yes! Your family will receive $50 off tuition for one month. This is UNLIMITED, so refer as many friends as you would like.
  • How much are senior scholarships?
    Seniors in Limitless Learning Tutoring, LLC have the chance to win a $500 scholarship. Click here to find out more information and how to apply.
  • How will I know if my child has made progress?
    Before beginning tutoring, each student will take an assessment. We measure their growth after 16 consecutive sessions (usually two months) working on specific skills they needed the most improvement on. Upon taking the assessment again, we will share the results with parents. Should your child’s school already have an assessment in place for measuring progress, then we will use this to discover their growth. We also look at factors outside of academia, including their emotional, behavioral, and learning skills as it relates to the content they are learning.
  • How do I sign my student up for homeschooling?
    To sign your student up for homeschooling, click this link to complete the sign up form. A Customer Service Representative will follow up with you within 24 hours Monday-Thursday.
  • How will I know if my child has been accepted into the homeschooling program?

  • Do you have services for Speech Therapy, Dyslexia Therapy, and Counseling Services?
    Right now, we are making referrals for those services so that students can have in person and online options.
  • How much are homeschooling services?
    Our homeschooling services are based on a monthly tuition method of $600. This can be paid monthly, weekly, or bi-weekly. Multiple student discounts are available. We do not take cash payments. All payment must be made on a credit, debit, gift card, or check to be processed through our certified payment system.
  • What is the one time registration fee covering?
    This fee covers our technology use for student instruction and payment processing to make our business function effortlessly for parents. We also utilize some of the funds for our student rewards program through Positive Behavior Support.
  • What happens if I miss a payment?

    We have homeschooling sessions two times per week at three hours every Tuesday and Thursday. Parents can request more information to their child's teacher, should they feel their child needs more assistance and support to set up a parent-teacher conference.
  • Do I get to choose the dates and times my student gets to attend homeschooling sessions?
    Yes, we do our best to accommodate your schedule with our teachers. However, we do ask that you are flexible in that we service many students and sometimes the schedule is stricter than we would like. Please note that if this schedule does not work for you all, then know that we have weekend online homeschooling options. At this time, direct instruction on Tuesdays and Thursdays will work from 3pm - 6pm as parents have requested to be present with their children during this time.
  • What is the schedule for homeschooling for the week?
    Monday Students are to watch their direct instruction videos and take detailed notes. (4 hour minimum) Tuesday Students will be virtually working with their teachers through guided practice and independent practice. (1 hour minimum) Wednesday Students will complete online homework. (4 hour minimum) Thursday Students will work virtually with their teachers on additional guided and independent practice. Checks for understanding will be administered as quizzes for students to gage how they would perform during assessments. (1 hour minimum) Friday Students are to take their online tests for the week. They also have Student Support Services for 2 additional hours should they need help in their classes or guidance counseling. (4 hour minimum) ​ Please know that Virtual Field Trips happen on Fridays. Students will not be able to attend until they have completed their Online Tests. ​ Total Hours - 13 to 15 hours of Learning Depending on the Individual Student
  • How will my child be placed in a homeschooling cohort?
    Our students are grouped in Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten - Second, Third - Fifth, and Sixth - Eighth. Ninth - Twelfth students will be offered tutoring sessions. There are only 10 spots for each cohort group, and they are first come first served until more groups are available.
  • What would a homeschooling session look like for students?
    The first two weeks of sessions (whenever your student starts with us) will be geared towards strong online classroom management and assessment testing. From there, teachers will create an achievement plan and tailored lesson plans for each student to close out learning gaps they may have. ​ Sessions will typically run like this. Keep in mind that this will repeat for each subject area of mathematics, reading/ELA/writing, science, and social studies. Students will have the chance to complete interactive activities during the sessions and at home. Strong communication will come from their teacher in preparation for these. ​ Greetings to students, parents, and teachers. Begin morning work. Participate in morning circle activities. (Character Development, Virtual Classroom Rules, Positive Behavior Support) This will only happen in the first subject session. Review of homework assignments. Start new lesson with direct instruction, guided practice, and independent practice. Give Checks for Understanding (CFUs). Review CFCs and assign homework. ​ Five minute breaks are taken between each subject area that is being taught. Students can use the restroom during this time.

  • Will my child have the opportunity to socialize with other students?
    Absolutely! Your child will be inside of a group cohort with nine other students. Our teachers will intentionally give them opportunities to socialize. Adding to this, we are in partnership formation with an online site to provide electives (dance, chess, writing, physical education, sports, foreign language, etc.) for students to participate in with other student groups. We are also hosting virtual dances where students within our program and outside of it will be able to attend. These are scheduled for 6:00pm CST on September 18th (Back to School Dance), October 16th (Fall Social Shakedown), December 11th (Winter Wonderland Ball), and March 19th (Spring Fling).
  • Will my child pass on to the next grade if I were to place them back into traditional schooling?
    Yes! When you decide to put your child back into traditional school, they will be given an assessment to which they will pass. Our online instruction aligns with the Common Core Curriculum and state standards for your child's state and district. Upon your request, we can also do preparation sessions for your child to get familiar with the test and have great success.
  • What software programs do you use to work with students online?

    All students will be required to meet 80% mastery in order to move on to the next grade level in our homeschooling program. The grades are as follows: 90 - 100 A 80 - 89 B 70 - 79 C 65 - 69 D 0 - 64 F
  • When will progress reports or report cards be sent out?
    First Nine Weeks Progress Reports: September 14th First Nine Weeks Report Cards: October 16th Second Nine Weeks Progress Reports: November 16th Second Nine Weeks Report Cards: January 11th, 2021 Third and Fourth Nine Weeks Progress Reports and Report Card Dates will be Updated. Conferences will be available for the next three days after this. Your child's teacher will reach out to you via email to schedule your appointment. Please arrive to your appointment on time, professional, and ready to ask positive questions to help your child grow academically.
  • How long are we required to stay within the homeschooling program?
    Our contracts are set to last from August 1 to May 31st, lasting an entire school year. However, the contracts are month to month should you all need to cancel. We will need to be notified by the 15th of the month prior to cancel services.

Upon sending over your child's documentation via email, we give it to their teachers to ensure they are receiving the appropriate resources for them to have success in our online homeschooling program. If needed, we will create a new IEP or TAG program for your child.
  • What if I need to cancel a homeschooling session?

    If you allow your students to work with us for more than one year, then you all will lock in at your same rate for another year, and we will knock off the yearly registration fee as a part of our CUSTOMER LOYALTY PROGRAM.
  • How much money has been given away in the past for tuition?
    As of July 6, 2020, we have given away almost $1,800 of free tuition for the 2020 - 2021 school year. We currently have more discounts and funds to give away.

Upon taking the assessment again, we will share the results with parents. Should your child’s school already have an assessment in place for measuring progress, then we will use this to discover their growth. We also look at factors outside of academia, including their emotional, behavioral, and learning skills as it relates to the content they are learning. ​ All students will receive and intervention plan after taking a summative and formative assessment. This happens on average of 4 times a year in ELA/Reading/Writing and Math for Grades PreK to Eighth.
  • Do students have electives to participate in?
    Yes! Students are required to take one elective of their choice each week online. These may range from karate, dance, art, sports, chess, etc. Students must take 30 minutes of typing and 30 minutes of a foreign language.
  • Will my child have extra support in their classes if they do not understand the material they are learning? (Student Support Services)
    Yes, students will have access to our Student Support Services where students can email their teachers asking for additional support.
