Michele Gile grew up in Eden Prairie, Minnesota, and attended college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she majored in Elementary Education with a minor in Spanish, receiving her teaching license in grades 1-8. She began her teaching career in Beloit, Wisconsin in 2009, where she has taught 3-5 grades for the last 12 years. She received her Master's Degree in Instructional Technology from Cardinal Stritch University in 2012 and has spent many years working as a teacher leader in the area of technology. She has also held various other leadership roles throughout her career, such as Innovation Coach, Math Liaison, Building Assessment Coordinator, and Team Leader. She also loves to serve as a coach, judge, and coordinator for Destination Imagination, an organization that helps children harness their creativity in problem-solving. Michele is married to her husband Brian, and they love to travel, go on hikes with their dog Nala, and spend time with family and friends. She is a die-hard Wisconsin Badgers and Minnesota Vikings fan and loves to spend her free time reading and watching true crime documentaries.
